What if boils are not treated?

I think if boils become large then pus would automatically come out from the boil and I can get the relief from pain. If it happens itself then what is need of surgery?

After some time boil may get larger and it becomes tenser as the more pus accumulates. It is very painful. After some time boils (generally after two weeks) boil will burst and pus will come out on the skin. It is right that it automatically come out and you get the relief from the pain and boil but the pus which comes out spread over the skin which makes the possibilities of having boils again. It spread the infection and you remain on the same stage or you can say it to more tense stage. It may damage you skin tissue and cause skin ulcer. Skin then gradually heals but it leaves a deep scar. To avoid the infection further and to heal it properly you need to do surgery or to use antibiotics or other remedies to remove boil.
